I spent the summer working on my thesis research on DNA Data storage on DNA Origami nanostructures under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Heinis and William Hunter, and I learned so much, and got to have so much fun playing with lab robots, microscopes, Computer Vision algorithms, and more.

Postgraduate Student

▪Overhauled Legal Doc generation for over 500k highly-regulated docs annually, to a more scalable, extensible, and configurable platform that was handed over to business ops instead of requiring engineering effort year-over-year.
▪ Rewrote the backend of our most used service, by updating the data model to improve response times by >2x, and reduced time required for updates from several hours to 15s
▪ Integrated with new Pharmacy Benefits Manager to support pricing for new formularies and states
▪ POC for launches of Virtual Primary Care, and over 5 new state & LoB expansions. Troubleshot and resolved issues across Ops, Legal, and Product ensuring on-time launch
▪ Built set of tools to improve required annual legal filing time from 2-3 days to 30 minutes per state
▪ Led team migration of over 30 microservices from Python 2 to Python 3
▪ Introduced new composite pricing calculation to meet regulatory requirements in expansion states

Senior Software Engineer

Core developer, and performance lead on Axoni's distributed Equity Swaps platform, working with a group of leading financial institutions across multiple years to develop requirements and solutions.

I was the primary developer of the business logic, data ingestion, distributed deployment, and database components of the application, as well as being in charge of the performance work-stream.

Project was launched in January 2020, with initial clients Goldman Sachs and Citibank.

I was the service lead for the Gateway component of the Watson Platform for Health. Leading a team of 3, I was responsible for delivery of the Gateway component including QA and development work. I worked on the platform through the validation and verification of v2.0, and development of v2.1.

Software Engineer 2 | IBM Watson Health

Worked as part of the Rollout Modeling team, doing full stack development including C#, R, Javascript and SQL;
Used machine learning algorithms in R to build models to predict the runtime of other models;
Created new analytical methods to support calculations and evaluation paradigms not before possible.

Applied Predictive Technologies

Worked in the Lab of Systems Biology under Dr. Martin Meier-Schellersheim.
Trained to use the Simmune and SimAnalyzer produced by the lab.
Utilized the analyzer to understand different signaling topologies and stimulation effects and analyze the data using R;
Helped to test and suggest improvements to the software. Also helped to teach new users including Graduate students and Professional researchers how to use Simmune;
Used the Simmune Modeler in order to construct a biologically correct model of Toll Like Receptor 4 activation for use in further research as part of lab’s immunology research;
Learned further techniques in Computational Genomics through a journal club.

National Institutes of Health - NIAID

Summer Research Fellow

Working on modifying an Agent Based Model of bone formation rates in aged and young mice. These models are built in Matlab and C++ and used to simulate the effects of loading on the bones of mice. Using Mean Log Likelihood estimates and other statistical analysis methods. My work is to simulate the interaction between the endocortical and periosteal surfaces of the tibia.
