Badrinath Nagarajan

Badrinath Nagarajan is a seasoned Atmospheric Scientist currently focusing on designing and developing cost-effective accurate altitude systems for mobile phone users.

With expertise in simulating severe weather events for the insurance industry and national security, Nagarajan also specializes in High Performance Computing (HPC) to enhance weather models for research and forecasting.

Having authored 14 research publications and holding 16 filed patents, particularly in the area of Indoor Altitude, Nagarajan's contributions were instrumental in the FCC adopting new rules for Z-axis vertical location of wireless 911 callers, ensuring indoor altitude positioning accuracy.

Nagarajan pursued a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science and Meteorology at McGill University, and has held key positions at prestigious organizations including NextNav LLC as a Senior Principal Engineer and Atmospheric Scientist, IBM Research as a Research Staff Member, and the National Center for Atmospheric Research as a Project Scientist.

Nagarajan's professional journey also includes roles at Flagstone Reinsurance Support Services (India) Private Lim, McGill University as a Research Associate and Faculty Lecturer, and the International Center for Theoretical Physics as a Visiting Scientist.
