Tham T. NGUYEN, PhD
Tham Nguyen is a passionate individual dedicated to Precision Medicine. With nine years of experience in hospital and healthcare settings, Tham possesses a strong sense of autonomy and goal-oriented mindset. Tham is a fast learner with a diverse background in projects ranging from HIV/AIDS to Cancer & Immunology, and expertise in areas like Nano drug-carrier systems and Antibody engineering.
Tham has a deep understanding of Nuclear transportation and DNA Base Excision Repair in drug resistance. With hands-on experience in Molecular & Cellular Biology and Cancer research, Tham upholds a critical-to-quality approach through involvement in external Quality Assessment Schemes and adherence to ISO15189 standards. Tham's special interests lie in Cell and Gene Therapy, demonstrating eagerness to learn and collaborate.
Educationally, Tham holds a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer and Immunology at Université de Lausanne. Tham's academic journey also includes an Honour Program in Biology from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, where Tham ranked 2nd out of 94 students.
Professionally, Tham's roles include being a Researcher in Cancer & Immunology (DNA repair) at CHUV - Lausanne University Hospital, previously serving as an Associate Researcher in Genetics at the Institute of Genome Research. Tham also has experience as a Scholar in Immuno-Oncology & Bioengineering at VLIR-UOS and as an Associate Researcher in HIV testing & Quality assessment at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Tham's research experience extends to being a Research Assistant in Nano medicine at VNU University of Sciences.
