Ashley Mayer is a seasoned startup investor with over 20 investments in her portfolio. She began her career in enterprise software at Box, where she led global communications for over six years, from early-stage startup to IPO. She later broadened her experience in marketing and communications at Social Capital, working with founders in various industries, from healthcare and aerospace to fintech and education. Most recently, Mayer led communications at Glossier, a beauty company, for almost three years. Her expertise lies in learning about new categories, building and developing teams, and partnering closely with visionary founders. Mayer's education includes a B.A. in Government, English, and Spanish from Georgetown University. Currently, she is taking a self-granted sabbatical to work on her own projects while serving as Operating Council at Mixing Board.
