Matt Schreiner, PhD

Dr. Matt Schreiner is an analytical thinker and problem-solver with a strong dedication to addressing intricate challenges. Currently, he is a valuable member of the Guest team at Airbnb, where his focus lies in enhancing user experiences through methodical experimentation.

Having pursued an extensive academic journey, Dr. Schreiner holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

His professional experience showcases a progression of roles in well-known tech companies. He currently serves as the Experimentation Lead for Guests at Airbnb, previously holding the same position within the Experiences team at Airbnb. Prior to Airbnb, he demonstrated his expertise as a Senior Data Scientist at Netflix and Twitter. Additionally, he has a rich academic background, having contributed as a PHD Candidate and Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, as well as fulfilling roles as a Group Tutor in Mathematics & Physics and an Undergraduate Researcher at UC Santa Barbara.
