Nathaniel Berger is a San Francisco-based Talent Development Lead at Shift.org with a diverse professional background. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Policy Studies and Political Science from Syracuse University and a Masters of Science (M.S.) in College Student Development with a concentration in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University. Berger is also a Certified Professional Coach from the College of Executive Coaching.
Berger is passionate about education and has worked in various roles in the academic world. He was an Assistant Director for Career Education at BEAM, Stanford Career Education, and a Program Manager for Community Engaged Learning and Research at Stanford University. Berger also worked as a Graduate Assistant for Leadership Development and Razor's Edge at Nova Southeastern University. Additionally, he has experience mentoring students as a Resident Advisor at Syracuse University.
Berger has also worked in the swimming industry as an Aquatic Manager and Head Swim Coach at Western Athletic Clubs, Inc. He was also previously the Safety and Event Coordinator at Swim Across America, where he organized and led events to support cancer research. Berger is currently the SF Event Director for #OpenWaterSwimming and #MakeWavesToFightCancer.
