Tony Liao

Tony Liao is a knowledgeable researcher with a focus on emerging technologies, particularly in the area of augmented reality and its impact on society.

With a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Communication from Cornell University, Tony has also participated in the Summer Doctoral Program at the prestigious Oxford Internet Institute.

Complementing his doctoral degree, Tony Liao holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Communication from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Southern California.

Tony Liao's academic journey has led him to serve as an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati and previously at Temple University.

His research delves into how individuals engage with augmented reality technologies in their daily lives, the impact of these technologies on perception of surroundings, and the broader implications for the development and societal discourse surrounding emerging technologies.
