Scott Nelson
Scott Nelson is a seasoned leader in the medtech and healthcare industry. He has worked with top companies such as Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Touch Surgery, among others. Nelson is now the Founding Partner and Managing Director of Big Sky Biomedical, a leading incubator focused on interventional medical devices. He is also the Co-Founder and CEO of FastWave Medical, a spin-out company that secured an acquisition agreement in just six months.
Nelson is interested in the convergence of traditional medtech and preventive consumer-driven health. He is a Co-Founder and Advisor to Joovv, the first medical-grade, full-body red light therapy system with a patented modular design. He is also the Founder of Medsider, a digital media company that disseminates valuable insights from medtech and healthech leaders. Nelson is a contributor to Forbes and Mass Device and is a former Official Member of Forbes Councils.
Before his current endeavors, Nelson studied Biology at Grand View University. He is a big believer in the continuous feedback loop of trying, failing, and learning. Nelson is married and has four children, and he and his wife are pet parents too.
