Matt Ocko is a co-Founder and co-Managing Partner at DCVC (Data Collective), with more than thirty years of experience in the technology industry, both as an entrepreneur and investor. Throughout his career, Ocko has invested in numerous startups and played an active role in their growth, which includes companies that have become core capabilities of firms like Illumina, Google, and Cisco, among others. Before DCVC, Matt co-founded and served as VP of R&D of Da Vinci Systems, a leading vendor of email software.

Ocko's investments at DCVC span a wide range of cutting-edge domains, from computational drug discovery to space access platforms and quantum computers. These ventures reflect Ocko's deep understanding of data and the value of the technologies that enable and transform data into meaningful insights.

A Yale University alum with a degree in Physics, Ocko is an inventor with over 50 patents and expertise in diverse areas like computer systems virtualization and AR. In his spare time, he enjoys writing code, building robots with his children, and tinkering with technology.
