Guided students through the engineering design cycle for wireless and RF systems: Design, practical hardware implementation, and prototype. Used a machine called the M60 to mill custom PCBs for prototyping and modular design. Taught methods on how to properly organize engineering notes and incremental design involving the complete PCB process from block diagrams and schematics to PCB layout. Solidified AM Receiver design concepts for the final project: Antenna Theory, Impedance matching for maximum power transfer, RF amplifiers, Mixers,  Filtering, Demodulation, and Audio Amplification.

I found tutoring this class to be a great experience because I was able to pass down my design techniques to the students. These techniques include debugging hardware and software, incremental design, detailed system level block diagrams, schematic layout and much more.

Hardware
Multiple sensors were designed such as track wire sensors, beacon detectors and vishay photodetector tape sensors which eventually all had to be read into a UNO32 microcontroller for inputs into a hierarchical state machine 

Software
Hierarchical state machines were designed to handle multiple inputs from the outside environment to allow the robot to become fully autonomous.

Mechanical
Solidworks was used to design 3D models that eventually were cut out and created by using a laser cutter to build the final robot.
