Pragnya Alekal

Pragnya Alekal, an experienced expert in water, sanitation, energy, innovation, and public health, holds two degrees — Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of California and a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her passion lies in developing countries, where she engages with various organizations to apply her skills and knowledge to address the challenges facing the communities in these regions.

Alekal has worked with different organizations, including serving as Chief Executive Officer + General Manager at Tierra Design, General Manager at the Institute of Water Policy at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and Project Manager at Ted Conferences. Also, she worked for Xprize, Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Sustainability Consultant, and as a William J. Clinton Fellow at American India Foundation.

Her vast experience in the industry has earned her consulting roles in various companies like Airvet, sales and marketing position at Peopleshores, and technical and operations consultant position in other companies within the industry. Alekal's expertise and experience have also landed her roles as a research and teaching assistant at MIT Sloan School of Management, peace fellow at Hostelling International, and an assistant civil engineer at Project Design Consultants.
