Louis Cyr

Louis Cyr is a Montreal-based consultant in insurance and risk management with extensive experience in the industry. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Finance and Marketing at HEC Montreal in 1990, and the same year became a Chartered Insurance Broker while learning about insurance at Canada's largest insurer, the Royal of Canada. Louis joined his family's company until it was sold in 2001, after which he started his own business, Le Monde de l'Assurance inc., which he later transformed into a consultation firm. He has helped companies control their insurance costs and obtain fair settlements for claims, and he has taught insurance to various professional orders and colleges. In 2012, Louis and his partner Julie Meilleur founded Louis Cyr Assurances – a damage insurance brokerage – and have since created six flourishing brokerage firms that generate over $20 million in annual premiums. He is passionate about insurance and believes in its importance, which drives his business approach. Louis is currently the President of Juriance, a unique Quebec-based company that combines multidisciplinary legal and damage insurance services under one roof.
