Paul Makarechian is a seasoned entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Auric Road, a visionary hospitality platform designed for the adventure and experiential travel market. With nearly 20 years of experience in the Institutional Real Estate industry, Makarechian embarked on a new adventure: building a new market segment of Petite Resorts under the Auric Road brand. His current strategy involves acquiring and repositioning unique and historic hospitality properties in high barrier to entry markets, a move that has gained widespread recognition in the industry.

Makarechian's career spans several years of leadership roles at various organizations. Before founding Auric Road, he served as CEO of Makar Properties, where he acquired, entitled and redeveloped properties worth over $2 billion across the country. During his career, Makarechian has also held the position of Senior Vice President at Capital Pacific Holdings, Inc.

Makarechian studied Business Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. In addition to running Auric Road, he serves as the Founder and National Chairman of Gen Next and the Gen Next Foundation, and as Executor of the Paul Makarechian Foundation. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Paul Makarechian is an avid adventurer who can often be found scuba diving through shipwrecks, trekking the backcountry by horse, or jumping out of helicopters onto ski slopes. His dedication to preserving history, culture, and community continues to inspire his work in the hospitality industry.
