Ben Betts is an accomplished and influential figure in the learning technology space, currently serving as the Chief Product Officer for global leader, Learning Pool. Ben's professional achievements in research have earned him a PhD in the impact of gamification on adult social learning, and positions him as a sought-after and respected speaker, having presented at conferences around the world, including TEDx. With a focus on the development of the next generation of workplace digital learning platforms, including Learning Experience Platforms, Ben is widely recognized as a global thought-leader in the space, leveraging his expertise in self-directed learning in the workplace, as well as social learning, gamification, and the Experience API (xAPI). Before joining Learning Pool, Ben was the Chief Executive Officer at HT2 Labs, a globally-recognized innovator in workplace digital learning. Ben's background includes multiple academic degrees, including an EngD in International Digital Lab at the University of Warwick, an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, and studies in Cognitive Science & Business Management at the University of Exeter. Ben has also contributed to a number of books and academic papers, and was formerly an Associate Faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania.
