Heather Layton

Heather Layton is a Senior Lecturer of Art at the University of Rochester. Her academic focus includes teaching undergraduate courses such as Painting, Performance Art and Social Intervention, and Food Matters: Gender, Ethnicity, and National Identity. She specializes in collaborative projects with community partners and is engaged in various art forms like drawing, painting, mixed media, and socially engaged art. Heather holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art Education, Painting, and Education from Syracuse University.
