Skycatch Drone Pilot Instructor / Consultant

Skycatch makes drones and software applications for creating high density maps on construction sites and mines. The drone flies automated lawnmower missions and captures photos every few seconds.  When the mission is complete, the photos are uploaded to a server where they are combined into a giant detailed map.

- Oversaw drone & data delivery deployment at client sites in US & Japan (Komatsu)
- Created workflow process optimizations for in-house photo mapping software.
- Created an indoor mapping 360 spherical solution for building purposes such as construction sites viewable through a web browser.
Oversaw the industry’s first “drone services marketplace pilot certification process to qualify pilots where we made our software and intelligence tools available to small/medium customers worldwide through a network of 10,000 independent drone pilots.
- Oversaw the creation and implementation of drone inventory and flight tracking system with Virtual AirBoss for internal and external use such as for our clients. 
- Worked with customers to develop the Skycatch Dashboard (online browser to view the high density maps).  This system is estimated to save 3-5% off the cost of a multi-billion-dollar project.

- Taught Japanese Pilots how to safely operate our UAV, plan missions, capture imagery for photogrammetry Dashboard tools, and acted as a liaison for our office while on site in Japan.
- Increased Skycatch WorkMode pilot sign ups from 1,000 to 5,000 in 2 months.

- Cost Optimization Initiative – Worked with a global group of project managers and engineers to identify cost savings opportunities to reduce telecom spend.  Forecasted savings, tracked actuals, managed responses of RFI/RFPs, SOWs and reported information to senior leadership. Annualized savings greater than $15 million dollars for FY2012.

- Case Reduction Initiative – Led an initiative to reduce case volume for chronic technology issues.  Created project documentation using standard templates and associated project life cycle process.  Worked with implementation stakeholders to document “as-is” and “to-be” processes. Created a business requirements document (BRD) based on the process documentation, which was submitted and accepted by the development team for implementation.  

- Developed, designed, and maintained online presence – Developed a detailed flow for internal project life cycle website.  This provided a single source of truth for project management standards.  Created and maintained online presence for technical roadmaps and document share space

- Marketing new technology - Participated in a marketing campaign to drive awareness of a new technology deployment (IPv6). Activities included t-shirt design and distribution as well as physical and virtual signage.

- Process Documentation Case Study – Collaborated with project managers and engineers to document the Cisco IT hardware internal procurement ordering process.  Created a case study with process workflow diagrams and a how-to guide after months of investigating and collecting appropriate data for a case study.

- Teleworker ISP Optimization - Created project plan to optimize ISP bandwidth to use “split-tunneling.”  Worked with a team of project managers and engineers to flush out requirements and identify potential roadblocks. Responsible to schedule and facilitate meetings, coordinate resources, track and report status of various tasks to senior management.

Accomplishments: As a council, we set realistic goals for the fraternities to achieve, such as a higher GPA than the All-Men's Average of the school and require every fraternity to attend at least 2 educational sessions similar to time management and leadership development every semester.
