Gennie Neo is the Manager of the Innovation Strategy Group at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). With extensive experience in communications, strategy, business development, product management, digital innovation and ecosystem building, Gennie has worked in various locations including London, Shanghai, Germany and Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Science with 1st Class Honors in Management Science from University College London, and completed her secondary education at Hwa Chong Institution and Nanyang Girls' High School. In her current role, Gennie leads the development of EDB's innovation strategy and initiatives, working alongside government agencies to strengthen Singapore's value proposition as a global-Asia node for innovation. Her team focuses on accelerating the expansion of innovative enterprises capable of creating globally competitive products and services. Gennie is also involved in facilitating collaborations between corporates, governments, industry bodies, incubators, accelerators, VCs, start-ups, and ecosystem partners to catalyze open innovation. Key initiatives spearheaded by Gennie include the Global Innovation Alliance - Partnership Forums, and supporting the Open Innovation Platform, Open Innovation Network and Open Innovation Series.
