Robert ∑ Æ Betz

Robert Betz is a Software Developer and Art Historian based in Brooklyn with a diverse background in object-oriented programming, web development, historical work, and art + design.

Currently, Robert is working on building art curating software that integrates Artsy's Public API and Google Vision API with machine learning models for tagging and creating searchable links among images of artwork. The platform will also have a web-based interface with social networking capabilities.

With technical proficiencies in languages like C#, R, SQL, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React.js and .NET Core, Robert also excels in utilizing Rest APIs, Git, and Project Management tools.

His educational background includes a Master's degree in Art History & Curatorial Studies from The City University of New York and Certified Immersive Software Engineering Program from TrueCoders, among other degrees and studies.

Having previously been involved in organizations such as ArtCloud, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Robert brings a wealth of experience in product management, visitor experience, gallery assistance, curatorial work, and education operations to his projects.

Robert is passionate about leveraging technology to make cultural institutions, museums, and galleries more accessible, with interests in ML, VR, AR, AI, and kawaii (かわいい).
