Eric Friedman, an experienced early-stage investor and operator with 15 years of experience, has launched his own venture, Building The Machine, which aims to support new founders in creating incredibly successful companies. Friedman began his journey at Union Square Ventures, where he learned how high-growth companies operate and gained an understanding of venture capital. He then joined Foursquare as their first full-time BD and sales hire for six years, where he built the flywheels for local, national, and international revenue. Afterward, he joined Expa, where he investment teams while also building up the early-stage accelerator program. He later worked as a fractional COO and executive coach for high-growth teams before becoming a Venture Partner at Company Ventures in New York City.
