Laura Monkman

Laura Monkman is a Stanford-trained educator with a strong passion for making knowledge accessible to diverse audiences, spanning from children to adult learners. Her expertise lies in creating dynamic, learner-centered environments to facilitate effective learning experiences and providing individuals with the necessary resources to enhance their own education and discover new insights.

Laura holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History from Stanford University, where she completed her studies in 2015. Additionally, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, as well as another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History, also with High Distinction from the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College.

Currently, Laura Monkman serves as a History Subject Expert Teacher at BASIS Independent Schools, where she leverages her academic background and expertise to educate and inspire students in the field of history.
