Ilse Matthijssen

Ilse Matthijssen is an accomplished healthcare manager and strategy consultant with a strong background in technical mathematics and stochastic processes. She holds a degree in IR, Technische Wiskunde, stochastiek from Delft University of Technology. Ilse has worked as the Manager Zorg en Bedrijfsvoering at Spaarne Gasthuis, a large Dutch hospital, where she is responsible for improving operational efficiency and care quality. Before joining Spaarne Gasthuis, Ilse worked as the Manager Strategie en Vernieuwing and Manager Operational Excellence at VUmc, a renowned research hospital in Amsterdam. She also gained extensive consulting experience at KPMG Plexus, where she served as a senior manager and consultant. Ilse has a track record of successfully leading large-scale change and improvement initiatives, working closely with healthcare professionals and stakeholders. She is also a former volunteer at Stichting Los Niños, a charity organization that supports underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic.
