Ben Gilbert
Benjamin Gilbert is an accomplished entrepreneur, product manager, and venture capitalist based in Seattle. He is the co-founder and managing director of Pioneer Square Labs, an early-stage venture capital firm and startup studio. Ben is also the co-host of a popular technology podcast called "Acquired," which has over 250,000 subscribers and is highly-ranked on Apple Podcasts.
Before embarking on his journey as a VC, Ben began his career as an indie developer, creating the successful iPhone app "SeizeTheDay." He also gained valuable product management experience at Microsoft, where he shipped the first version of Office for iPad and ran The Garage, the company’s grassroots innovation program.
As a board member of several companies, including TrovaTrip, Iteratively, Glow, and Taunt, Ben has demonstrated his business acumen and leadership skills. His work has been recognized by Puget Sound Business Journal, which named him to their 40 under 40 list, and by GeekWire, which honored him as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.
Ben is an Eagle Scout and holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Entrepreneurship from The Ohio State University.
