Carlos Viana is a project, acquisition, and structured finance lawyer. He leads White and Case's Latin America Interest Group, advising market-leading project sponsors on energy and infrastructure projects in Latin America.
Carlos also assists top financial institutions with project finance, corporate and acquisition finance, and structured trade and export finance matters. He has a strong track record representing lenders in credit facilities and debt capital markets offerings in Latin America, totaling over US$75 billion.
Carlos Viana holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, in Economics/Political Science from Yale University. He currently serves as a partner at White & Case and has previous experience at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Carlos has also worked as a Law Clerk to The Honorable Robert E. Keeton at the United States District Court for Massachusetts.
