Jason Lohr

Jason Lohr has established himself as an expert in intellectual property (IP) law, specializing in high-tech clients. As a partner at Hogan Lovells in San Francisco, Jason has advised clients of all sizes on developing and managing strong IP portfolios that align with their business objectives. His experience spans many areas of IP law, including due diligence investigations, post-grant proceedings, patent interference proceedings, and pre-litigation analysis.

Jason is also experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing trademark and copyright applications, and performing clearance investigations. His industry experience is vast and encompasses areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer graphics and animation, networking, e-commerce, and medical devices.

In addition to his legal background, Jason has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oxford, where he focused on business strategy, innovation, and disruptive technologies. He brings a business perspective to his legal work, allowing him to provide full-service and complex strategic counseling on patent validity, infringement, patentability, and priority of invention issues.

Before his legal career, Jason worked as a software engineer and analytical scientist doing materials research. He has also been involved in several startups, including Fitsplore and Wiplug Inc.
