Currently, Shamil leads the Platform Services organization at Confluent Cloud, with a key objective of creating the foremost fully managed Kafka-based event streaming platform.

Before joining Confluent, he held leadership positions at Twitter, overseeing teams like Revenue Processing Platform and Ads Data Infrastructure.

Shamil's educational background includes studies in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Kazakh - British Technical University, as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northwestern Polytechnic University.
