Recruited to build-out technical infrastructure and cutting-edge content delivery and revenue systems. Responsible for managing all aspects of technology, including web and mobile engineering, operations, enterprise systems and technical aspects of mergers and acquisitions.  Led a team of over 120, and managed a budget of ~$15MM. Reported to CEO.
●	As a key member of the executive team, shaped company strategy in growing revenue 4x organically and through mergers and acquisitions. 
●	Successfully migrated multiple legacy applications onto a unified, service oriented, content-delivery platform.
●	Led development of industry-leading server-to-server programmatic advertising platform that integrated machine-learning to maximize revenue.
●	Built out cutting-edge, fully integrated cash-back and affiliate link management system that provided up-to-date pricing and revenue optimization for web and mobile applications.

Responsible for technology strategy, operations, design and development of product catalog, content management, publishing systems, SEO, and BI systems supporting brands like ZDNet, TechRepublic, BNET and CBS Moneywatch. 
●	Launched new publishing platform for all brands based on Symfony PHP framework and other open source software to simplify the infrastructure and greatly reduce number of applications and platforms used. 
●	Managed technical aspects of FindArticles.com acquisition, and oversaw development of  a new system that successfully handled management and serving of over 30 million pieces of content.  
●	Improved efficiency by reorganizing into centralized teams responsible for common functions across all sites and implementing Agile development process, while expanding team by 33% to support business growth. 
●	Successfully carried out infrastructure consolidation that included two platform changes and movement of applications into 2 colocation centers.

●	Led design and development of custom BI system to categorize content and user activity across sites using NLP, automating content tagging and to improve site search, and increasing search engine traffic by 400%. 
●	Led design and initial development of the ZDNet Blog Network using open-source Wordpress platform, integrated Wordpress with CNET services, and successfully adapted platform to support other sites.
●	Realized significant cost savings by developing new content management system in less than 3 months to replace legacy ZDNet system based on Vignette.
●	Built new B2B lead processing system to replace legacy systems from Newmediary acquisition.

Manager, Software Engineering - ZDNet Product Management

Newmediary Inc. was a next generation dynamic directory that allowed businesses to identify and facilitate communication with vendors and provided them with real time access to ready buyers. Hired as 6th employee and 2nd engineer, and quickly promoted to Director of Engineering. Responsible for credit card processing systems and for the localization and internationalization of the directories.
●	Prepared company for integration with CNET by reducing staff and simplifying IT architecture.
