Head of Operations and Supply Chain

As the Commercial PET Director at Blue Earth Diagnostics, I am responsible for leading a team of sales, marketing and distribution specialists. My focus is on the growth of an existing PET prostate product and preparing for the commercialisation and launch of novel PET products.

As a Global Cardiology Product Leader within GE Healthcare, I have the responsibility for developing the strategy for the longer term growth of a range of diagnostic imaging products, focused on the SPECT and PET imaging modality, used within cardiology. My main product geographies are the EU and USA.

Leading a newly formed team of multi-disciplinary scientists including chemists, radiochemists, biologists and imaging specialists working on pre-clinical projects with a drive through to first in man studies. Key focus for the team is technology scouting and assessment of external technologies and opportunities. Maintain responsibility for managing key external collaborative projects, both academic and commercial, securing value for the business and ensuring project progression. Continue with the managment of the team’s scientific and personal development including performing annual appraisals and resolving poor performance. Maintaining budgetary responsibilities including supporting major capital expenditure and management of team travel expenses. Leading project resources planning, ensuring projects have the appropriate level of resource to meet defined milestones.

Research Technology Leader

Provided team leadership for a group of 14 senior research scientists and lab technicians in the development of in vivo imaging agents in cancer, cardiovascular and neurological diseases. Responsibilities also include personnel management, coaching, evaluation and recruitment, and occasional off-boarding. Worked with project directors to implement program goals, providing technical leadership to the team, working with senior management in the Discovery group in UK, India, and USA. Responsible for delivering a new strategy for an in vitro/high value diagnostics initiative within the GE Healthcare MDx Discovery division.
