Matthew Tegart

Matthew Tegart is an experienced IT risk and assurance specialist in the financial services sector, with a focus on information, business continuity, physical security, and risk management. He has worked in several large banking and insurance institutions in Sydney, occupying external/internal audits and 1st and 2nd LoD roles. His core skills include statutory audits, SOX testing, internal controls assurance, automated and analytical audit techniques, security incident monitoring, physical security assessments, policy enforcement, risk advice, and senior stakeholder management.

Matthew completed a Bachelor of Information Technology, Network Design and Management, and has studied CISA. Prior to his current role as a Senior Information Risk Manager at ING Australia, he held positions at ING DIRECT Australia and Ernst & Young. Outside of the financial industry, Matthew worked as a co-founder of Hypernex and served as duty manager, projectionist, and general cinema worker in Amalgamated Holdings Limited.
