Geoff Arnold
Geoff Arnold is an experienced technology professional with a distinguished career in distributed systems architecture and network protocols. He has worked with top technology companies like Amazon, Huawei, and Cisco, focusing on both public and private clouds and specializing in scale and federation. Arnold has participated in initiatives ranging from open source programs to cloud computing communities, including the Open Mobility Foundation, NFS, and Windows Sockets. Until his retirement in July 2020, Arnold was Chief Open Source Officer and acting CISO for Lacuna Technologies, following his positions as CTO at Sensity Systems and CTO for Verizon Smart Communities. Arnold has also advised several startups and was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at US Venture Partners. With a bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Essex and Ph.D. study at Newcastle University, Arnold has impressive qualifications in the tech industry.
