Sherrese Soares is a visionary leader with over 20 years of experience leading in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, and capital markets with a focus in the Communications and Media & Entertainment sector. She has been a founder and CEO twice leading her companies to success in their respective industries. Sherrese has a strong record of building portfolios in capital markets that have delivered significant returns to investors.

She was the Founder and CEO of Tempo Music and set investment strategy, scaled platform to 10 professionals, and invested in 12 assets. She was the founder and led, globally, the Entertainment, Media & Sports Structured Solutions at Morgan Stanley. She has also served as a former Senior Vice President at CIT Group and Assistant Vice President at GE Capital.

Sherrese's expertise in evaluation, finance, investment, and competitive analysis provides insights on investment strategies and portfolio amplification, enabling her to ask the right questions and advise both nascent companies in emerging markets as well as those competing on the global stage.

Sherrese has overseen $1B portfolio across media and entertainment companies at CIT Group. She has also supported M&As and led two large strategic transactions at Morgan Stanley, a $2B and a $3B divestiture that delivered significant returns for the firm.

Sherrese is an accomplished board member, having served as a Board Director and Investment Committee Chair at Tempo Music. She is the current Board Member of Planned Parenthood, serving as Treasurer, Chair of Finance Committee, Member of Executive and Revenue Committees, Former Chair of Investment Subcommittee, overseeing a $1B budget. Sherrese is also on the Board of Trustees at Carnegie Hall.

Sherrese has received recognition across three separate categories by Billboard – Top Women in Music 2020, Change Agent List, 2021 and Dealmaker List, 2020. She studied at Georgetown University and Harvard Business School where she pursued a Master of Business Administration - MBA and was a TOIGO Foundation Fellow.
