Zeyneb Magavi
Zeyneb Magavi is a leader in the fight against climate change through her work at the nonprofit HEET. With a background in physics and global health, as well as experience with startups and various academic institutions such as Brown University, Harvard, and MIT, Magavi brings a unique combination of expertise to her work. Her current focus is on transforming aging gas systems into bidirectional ambient thermal grids to reduce emissions and achieve rapid and equitable decarbonization of heating and cooling in urban areas. Her GeoMicroDistrict concept has won accolades and received interest in pilots from utilities in multiple states. Magavi is passionate about using her skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the urgent climate crisis.
