Zari Havercome is an individual dedicated to driving positive social impact through the application of analytical problem-solving, intercultural communication, and creative collaboration skills. Zari's expertise lies in scaling solutions that foster human capital development across various age groups, from youth to seasoned professionals. This dedicated individual is actively involved in the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors, embodying the essence of a tri-sector athlete.
Education has been a cornerstone of Zari's journey, having pursued a diverse academic path. Zari completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Social Impact and a Master of Arts (MA) in Sustainable International Development at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Additionally, Zari holds a Bachelor's Degree in International/Global Studies from Brandeis University and engaged in International Study focused on International Relations and Affairs at Boston University in Fall 2015.
Zari's professional experience spans across various impactful organizations, showcasing a rich tapestry of roles and contributions. Some of Zari's notable engagements include serving as a Graduate Fellow at CFLeads, a Board of Advocates Member at Citizen Schools, an Assistant Area Coordinator at Brandeis University, and a Youth and Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps. Zari has also contributed as an Americorps Member at City Year, an English Teacher at Empowerment through Education Camp, and as a Communication, Fundraising, and Marketing Intern at Action on Poverty.
Further adding to the mosaic of experiences, Zari has held positions such as a Public Health Intern at Empowerment through Education Camp, a Rape Crisis Center Peer Advocate at Brandeis University, a Public Health Global Brigader at Global Brigades, Inc., and an Escorts Safety Service Driver at Brandeis University. Zari's multifaceted background also includes roles as a Quality Improvement Manager Intern at Walden Behavioral Care, a Counselor at Calder Classics, a Cashier and Barista at Sodexo, and a Student 'Real Girl' consultant at St. Joseph High School. Zari has also contributed as a Relationship Abuse Prevention Program Peer Leader at the Center Against Domestic Violence.
