Zahara Pop

Zahara Pop, known professionally as Zahara, is an accomplished Spanish singer, songwriter, and actress. Born María Zahara Gordillo Campos on September 10, 1983, in Úbeda, Jaén, she has made significant contributions to the independent music scene in Spain since her debut in 2005. Zahara is recognized for her diverse talents, which include not only music but also writing and acting. She has released several albums that blend pop, indie rock, and acoustic styles, and she has garnered numerous awards for her work, including multiple accolades at the Premios de la Música Independiente (MIN).12

Her album Puta was particularly notable, winning the Album of the Year at the XIV Premios MIN in 2022, where she was nominated in nine categories overall.13 Zahara's music often addresses personal and societal issues, resonating deeply with audiences and earning her a reputation as one of the leading figures in the Spanish indie music scene.24
