Zach Savage

Zach Savage is the Manager of Application Software Engineering at Mercury Marine, a well-known manufacturer of marine engines and related products. Zach holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University and has furthered his education with studies in Lean Six Sigma and Project Management.

In his role at Mercury Marine, Zach has been instrumental in leading projects focused on innovation and continuous improvement. One notable project he contributed to is the 1st Mate, a safety and security system for boats that integrates with the vessel's propulsion system. This innovative technology includes features such as man-overboard monitoring, distress messaging for solo boaters, and theft deterrence.1

Prior to his position at Mercury Marine, Zach held various managerial roles at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where he also made significant contributions to application software engineering and new product development.
