Zac Hays

Zac Hays is a seasoned product executive with close to two decades of experience in leadership roles across various startups and prominent companies such as Microsoft, TiVo, and Autodesk.

During his tenure as the VP of Product at BuildingConnected, a cloud-based SaaS platform catering to the construction sector, Zac played a pivotal role in expanding the product team from 10 to 13 members and introducing three successful revenue-generating product lines.

Following BuildingConnected's acquisition by Autodesk for $285 million, Zac assumed an expanded role, steering a global product development organization encompassing over 100 product managers, designers, user researchers, and software developers.

Zac Hays is renowned for simplifying product strategy, a skill that he imparts through popular talks like 'Product Strategy Simplified.' He conducts workshops within his current position to align divisions and teams with the overarching organizational strategy, fostering faster decision-making and building employee and investor confidence.

His expertise in product-led growth is evident through his ability to create virtuous loops that fuel organic user adoption and expansion. BuildingConnected's success as the world's largest construction network is a testament to Zac's approach, which attracted over 250,000 businesses organically through the platform.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Zac enjoys spending time with his daughters, exploring new culinary experiences in San Francisco, and attending Giants games.
