His career includes more than 15 years dedicated to leading significant public health initiatives in areas like Maternal and Child health, HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria, especially with USAID and PEPFAR/CDC.

Yves Bernard has a robust educational foundation with degrees including a Specialization in Internal Medicine from the State University Hospital of Haiti, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the State University of Haiti, a Certificate in Applied Epidemiology from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and a Master's in Public Health in Tropical Medicine from Tulane University.
