Yuri Soares

Yuri Suarez Dillon Soares is the Chief of Strategy and Impact at IDB Lab, the Innovation Lab of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB). With a strong background in economics, Yuri is responsible for corporate strategy, developing connections and network assets, impact measurement, and strategic communications at IDB Lab. Prior to his current position, he managed the Lab's initiatives focusing on climate-smart agriculture and agtech investments. Yuri's expertise spans various areas including impact evaluation, agriculture, innovation, growth, crime, violence, labor economics, and public amenities. He holds a PhD in Economics from Michigan State University, an MA in Agricultural Economics from the University of Florida, and a BS in Economics from Universidade de Brasília.
