Yulia Pinkusevich
Associate Professor of Studio Art
Yulia Pinkusevich is a visual artist and art educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently serving as a Tenured Associate Professor of Studio Art at Mills College, holding the prestigious Joan Danforth Professor of Art title. Yulia was recognized as a Grier Scholar in 2015 and a Quiqley Fellow for the Summer in 2021. Their recent research endeavors have received support from the Mellon Foundation, while their art projects have been backed by the Knight Foundation. Yulia's creative works have been showcased worldwide and are part of esteemed collections such as the deYoung Museum, Stanford University, Facebook Inc, and Google HQ. Their studio is situated in Oakland, CA. Yulia's educational background includes a Masters of Fine Arts in Fine and Studio Arts from Stanford University, participation in the Career Discovery Program in Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting from Rutgers University–New Brunswick Mason Gross School for the Arts. While at Northeastern University, Yulia holds the position of an Associate Professor. They have previously served as a Lecturer at Stanford University, a Teaching Artist at the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation, and an Art Handler at Christie's.
