Yuan Shen
Professor at Tsinghua University
Yuan Shen is a Professor and Council Director in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He has an extensive academic background, having earned his Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2005, followed by a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2008 and 2014, respectively.123
Before joining Tsinghua University as an Associate Professor in 2014, Shen worked as a Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Research Associate at MIT's Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory from 2005 to 2014. His research interests encompass statistical inference, network sciences, optimization and control, communication theory, and information theory. Currently, he focuses on areas such as network localization and navigation, resource allocation, and cooperative networks.123
Throughout his career, Shen has received several prestigious awards, including the Qiu Shi Outstanding Young Scholar Award and the Marconi Society Paul Baran Young Scholar Award. He has also been recognized for his contributions to the IEEE Communications Society, receiving various best paper awards and serving in leadership roles within the organization.134
