Milk & Honey was a fashion ecommerce in the customization space. Milk & Honey was part of LaunchPad LA’s fall '12 accelerator and raised funding from VCs including Tim Draper, 500 Startups, and Great Oaks. In July 2014, Milk & Honey was acquired by British brand Upper Street.  

As the first business hire, I joined the founders as a generalist focusing on product, marrying the disciplines of user experience and acquisition. Key activities: 
+ Owned e-commerce experience + Liaised between founders, designers, and developers 
+ Optimized product through analysis of web analytics and A/B tests
+ Wrote user stories and wireframed
+ Managed $250,000 marketing budget 
+ Ran social media sweepstakes and celebrity partnerships

Western Standard, LLC is a research-intensive, fundamental value-based investment firm focused on small to mid-capitalization US and foreign equities and bonds.

I made long / short investment recommendations to senior fund leadership by identifying investment opportunities and performing financial analysis. Key activities:
+ Constructed dynamic financial models and forecasts
+ Built rapport with management of publicly traded companies
+ Was current with portfolio companies to constantly reevaluate investment theses
+ Conducted comprehensive due diligence and sector research
+ Generated screens for market inefficiencies

I conducted economic research and empirical analysis in support of expert testimony related to mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, attempted monopolization, and transfer pricing. Key activities:
