Yolo Robinson
Founder & Executive Director of BEAM
Yolo Robinson is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in non-profit management and behavioral health interventions focusing on issues concerning Black men and boys, particularly in violence and HIV & AIDS. As a counselor and trainer, Yolo has made significant contributions in the field.
Yolo holds a 200 Level Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification, reflecting a holistic approach to well-being. Additionally, Yolo is an emotional health advocate, actively promoting mental wellness.
Educationally, Yolo has a diverse background with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities from Georgia State University, another B.A. in Public Relations from Valdosta State University, and training in RYT 200, Hatha Yoga from Yoga of India.
Throughout their career, Yolo has been associated with prestigious organizations such as BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective) where they serve as the Founder & Executive Director. Previously, Yolo held roles at prominent institutions including Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), AIDS United, NYU Langone Health, Men Stopping Violence, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Yolo's expertise extends to writing, having contributed to various publications on topics like gender, sexuality, spirituality, and wellness. With a wealth of experience and a passion for promoting emotional well-being, Yolo Robinson continues to make valuable contributions to the fields of mental health and non-profit management.
