Yolanda King is a coach and activist who is passionate about empowerment and progression. She works to support people in overcoming self-limiting beliefs and enabling them to reach their full potential.2

King is the daughter of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. She was born in 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama and faced threats even in her infancy due to her parents' activism.1

King began speaking publicly at the age of ten and continued her parents' legacy of promoting equality and human rights throughout her life. She has spoken at various events, including the Human Rights Campaign Detroit Gala Dinner in 2000.1

In addition to her coaching work, King is also a licensed professional counselor (LPC), national certified counselor (NCC), certified professional counselor supervisor (CPCS), approved clinical supervisor (ACS), certified anger management specialist II (CAMS II), board certified-telemental health (BC-TMH), and certified bereavement counselor (CBC).3
