Ying Xu

Dr. Ying Xu is a Research Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).1 She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney.1 Dr. Xu's research focuses on sex or gender differences in cardiovascular health using big data and clinical trials for dementia risk reduction.1

Dr. Xu has an extensive academic background, including:

1. A Bachelor of Science from East China Normal University
2. Clinical internship and residency experience in Shanghai
3. Involvement in project management for NHMRC projects
4. Leadership in statistical analyses and manuscript preparation

Her research activities have been supported by various grants and awards, including funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council, UNSW Ageing Futures Institute, and the China Scholarship Council.1

Dr. Xu has also received several travel grants and academic distinctions, such as the Alzheimer's Association International Conference Travel Fellowship and multiple High Distinction marks in postgraduate coursework at the University of Sydney.1
