Yi Ren

Yi Ren was born in Shanxi Province, China, and moved to Japan at the age of 7 due to his parents' work.

He pursued his education in Japan, specializing in Biotechnology at the University of Tokyo where he completed his Master of Engineering degree in 2009.

After graduation, Yi Ren worked at Dream Incubator, a consulting firm, where he was involved in consulting services for government agencies, IT, entertainment, and manufacturing sectors before contributing to the establishment of Dream Incubator's office in China.

Later, he joined DeNA and played a key role in major reforms aligned with DeNA China's mobile shift.

Within DeNA, Yi Ren held positions such as Vice President, overseeing functions like human resources, alliances, and game development. In 2014, he became the CEO of DeNA China and subsequently assumed the role of Executive Officer at DeNA headquarters from April 2015.

Transitioning with the start of the Reiwa era, Yi Ren joined SmartNews as Chief Strategy Officer, focusing on delivering high-quality information globally through optimal means. He aspires to create a global platform originating from Asian countries.
