Yelta Köm
Yelta Köm is an architect and researcher based in Berlin, Germany, who specializes in the intersection of art, architecture, and research. He completed his studies in Turkey before attending Städelschule Architecture Class in Frankfurt. Yelta is particularly interested and experienced in critical spatial and commoning practices, urban surveillance methodologies, and technology. He is co-founder of the non-profit organization Herkes Icin Mimarlik (Architecture for All) and was the coordinator and editor of the “#occupygezi architecture” project, which has been exhibited globally, including at the V&A Museum London and the Art Institute of Chicago. His research in design and collectivism led to a Design Trust research grant in 2017. He has also collaborated with the Studio Tomàs Saraceno and the Aerocene Foundation from 2015-2019, and he is a member of the Arazi Collective, which focuses on Southeast Turkey spatial research.
