Yelak Biru, MSc is a seasoned business professional with over 25 years of experience working in Fortune 50 corporations. He is an expert in technology, HR analytics, and data strategy development. He has also dedicated decades of his life to improving the lives of myeloma patients. Recently, Yelak has been appointed as the President and CEO of the International Myeloma Foundation, where his skills and expertise are a perfect fit.

Yelak's unique understanding of how people and teams operate has been shaped both by his experience as a myeloma patient and his extensive career. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles, managing cross-functional teams of over 65 members in matrixed business-IT settings. He champions data-driven agile product development and leverages user experience design principles. Yelak has also collaborated with for-profit and nonprofit organizations, demonstrating his ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver strategic initiatives.
