Yechiel Engelhard MD MBA

Dr. Yechiel Engelhard, MD, MBA, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience as a senior executive, entrepreneur, and investor in the healthcare technology sector.

His career journey began as a practicing physician and Air Force Doctor, providing him with deep insights into healthcare delivery and medical management.

Transitioning to the business realm, he co-founded Gecko Health Innovations, which specialized in developing a regulated IoT system comprising connected devices, mobile apps, cloud solutions, and analytics. This venture resulted in the successful acquisition of Gecko Health by Teva Pharmaceuticals in 2015.

During his tenure at Teva, Dr. Engelhard served as the Global Head of Digital Health, overseeing commercial activities, marketing, and product development. He played a pivotal role in launching the FDA-approved Digihaler portfolio, steering cross-functional teams, executing complex business strategies, and fostering crucial industry collaborations.

Over the past decade, Dr. Engelhard has been actively engaged with numerous startups in various leadership capacities, offering guidance and operational expertise. He actively supports startups and advises venture capitalists on healthcare and technology investments, drawing on his extensive industry acumen to identify and nurture innovative solutions.

Dr. Engelhard's educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management, a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Medicine from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and a Master of Health Administration (MHA) in Healthcare Management from the same institution. He also pursued BMSc in Medicine at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and participated in a student exchange program in Medical studies at Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron.
