Yasmine Hassan is a design-oriented mechanical engineering graduate with a rich background in graphic design and maker technology. She possesses a strong interest in electronics, media arts, and education.
Yasmine graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, she studied at The Ohio State University and Reynoldsburg High Schol Estem Academy.
Throughout her career, Yasmine has held various roles such as Youth Program Manager, Program Coordinator, and Design Build Studio Teaching Assistant at DownCity Design. She has also worked as a Project Robotics Technician at Brown University Humanity Centered Robotics Initiative (HCRI), and as an Underwater Robotics Teaching Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Yasmine has diverse experience, having served as a Writing Fellow at Brown University Writing Center, Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science (MITES) Engineering Design Teaching Assistant at MIT, Makerspace Monitor at Brown University Digital Scholarship Lab, and Design Laboratory Intern at AS220.
