Yash Agarwal is an accomplished Public Policy Professional and a visionary leader in the field of public policy in India. Currently, he holds the distinction of being Twitter's first-ever Public Policy Fellow from India, a role that allows him to engage deeply with public policy challenges faced by the platform in the Indian context. In addition to his role at Twitter, Yash has co-founded Public Policy India, a knowledge-driven platform designed to enhance understanding and discussions surrounding public policy issues in India. Before his current positions, Yash served as a Public Policy Associate at Chase India, a consultancy that provides strategic and policy guidance across various sectors, including healthcare and technology. Yash also made significant contributions while serving as a Policy and Legislations Advisor in the office of Member of Parliament Pradyut Bordoloi. Prior to these roles, Yash was selected as a LAMP Fellow, where he gained invaluable experience working alongside a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a specialization in Journalism from the esteemed Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication (SCMC), where he graduated with an impressive 7.6 GPA. His time at SCMC was marked not only by academic excellence but also by active participation in extracurricular initiatives, highlighted by his role as the Placements and Internships Coordinator and as the elected Head of the Journalism Club, underscoring his leadership capabilities.
To further bolster his expertise in public policy, Yash pursued a Graduate Certificate in Technology Policy at The Takshashila Institution.
