Next Gen Personal Finance is a non-profit organization that provides a free, online high-school personal finance curriculum and professional development to help teachers deliver essential money lessons in an easy-to-grasp, engaging way. We offer a complete course of up-to-date, customizable lessons and activities designed to spark participation and make ideas memorable. Professional development and events build personal connections, enable knowledge sharing, and highlight information teachers find truly useful.

Reading Partners is changing the education landscape. We are a leader in working to solve the literacy crisis in our country by leveraging community volunteers in under-resourced schools. Our diverse and expansive volunteer base provides one-on-one tutoring to students twice weekly, and our program is proven to help children master the reading fundamentals they need to unlock their potential as successful, happy and confident readers in school and in life. 

As a Program Manager, I am responsible for :
-The recruitment, hiring, coaching, managing and training of a team of Reading Partners AmeriCorps Members.
-Managing all aspects of program implementation including serving as a local literacy program expert, conducting student data analysis and action planning, fostering school relationships, and directly managing AmeriCorps members.
-Leading implementation of the organization’s assessment and curriculum.
-Serving as a local subject matter expert on Reading Partners’ curriculum. 
-Ensuring high fidelity of the Reading Partners model at all school sites.
-Possessing a high level of knowledge and competency in literacy strategies and behavior management strategies.
-Demonstrating an ability to assess student performance using observations to analyze data, and to create subsequent strategies aimed at increasing student achievement.
-Analyzing data and creating action plans to improve student results.

Kumon is the world’s largest after-school math and reading enrichment program and one of the most established franchise businesses in the world — with more than 300,000 students enrolled and more than 1,500 individually owned and operated Kumon Math and Reading Centers in the U.S. and Canada alone.

As a Center Director, I have a passion for working with children and am energetic and organized. I am currently responsible for managing a company-owned model center in Manhattan. This has been a unique opportunity for me to experience the full cycle of business operations within Education. 

I manage all aspects of the Kumon Learning Center. I provide the space for new staff and franchisees to train, as well as to test out new instructional strategies. The center offers after school Math and Reading programs for children of all ages. 

As Center Director, I am responsible for the overall operation and growth of the center including:

-Lesson planning and guiding students through their course of study
-Ongoing parent communication as well as orientations for new student inquiries
-Recruiting, training, and directing all center staff
-Marketing the center and program curriculum to increase Student Enrollment
-Tuition Collection

-Collaborate with the curriculum development team to ensure the development of high quality film-ready lessons
-Review lesson plans and provide feedback to ensure that lesson content translates well to the film studio

-Selected as one of 5,200 from approximately 48,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps of recent college graduates and professionals who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools
-Taught and managed a class of 30 students daily with content in literacy, mathematics and character development 
-Developed and consistently utilized classroom management systems to maximize time spent on instruction
-Revised and implemented curriculum that increased percentage of students reading on grade level from 29% to 66% in the 2011-2012 school year
-Co-developed and coordinated the first and second Annual Multiplication Battle
-Sketched, planned and created an indoor mural with a group of 15 students to represent the school mission
